How Reviews Work

Booking Completion Required

Reviews can only be submitted for completed bookings. Both renters and owners can review each other after a successful rental.

Eligibility: You must have a completed booking with the user you want to review. No pre-booking or cancelled booking reviews allowed.

Two-Step Review Process

Reviews use a two-step process: first rate categories with stars, then write your experience.

Step 1: Rate 5-6 categories (accuracy, vessel, value, communication, etc.) with 1-5 stars

Step 2: Write your detailed experience (optional but encouraged)

Email Prompts & Timing

Review invitations are sent 24-48 hours after booking completion, with gentle reminders if no review is submitted.

Timeline: Initial prompt at 24-48h, reminder at 5-7 days, reviews encouraged within 14 days of completion

Response System

Reviewed users can respond to reviews about them with a professional reply (1000 character limit).

Response Rules: One response per review, professional tone required, no personal attacks or disputes allowed

For Owner Reviews (by Renters):

For Renter Reviews (by Owners):

How Completion Rates Work

Fair Completion Rate (Primary Metric)

Percentage of bookings completed successfully, excluding admin-approved safety exemptions like severe weather or mechanical issues.

Raw Cancellation Rate (Transparency)

Total percentage of all owner cancellations, including safety exemptions, for complete transparency.

Performance Tiers

Superhost≥95% + 0 recent cancellations
Excellent Host≥90% + ≤1 recent cancellation
Good Host≥80% + ≤2 recent cancellations
Average Host≥70% + ≤3 recent cancellations
Needs Improvement<70% or >3 recent cancellations
Safety Exemptions

Owners can request penalty exemptions for safety-related cancellations (severe weather, mechanical failures, medical emergencies). These require admin approval with documentation and don't count against completion rates when approved.

Profile & Review Deletion

Users can delete their profiles, but reviews remain visible for community trust. Deleted user reviews show as "Former Member" to maintain review integrity. Contact support for special circumstances requiring review removal.

Community Standards: All reviews and profiles are subject to community guidelines and platform moderation. Users agree to provide honest, accurate information and maintain respectful interactions. Review authenticity is verified through completed booking requirements. Profile information accuracy is the user's responsibility and subject to verification. Violations may result in content removal or account restrictions.
